About us

Tidal River Theos are a group of Christians that head down to Wilson's Promontory for two weeks every summer to share the Gospel with the young adults camping at Tidal River campsite.

Our two week program is full of fun activities that help us to get to know these campers while also serving them in practical ways that reflect Jesus and his servant-hearted approach to ministry.

If you would like to stay up to date with prayer points for the team, please join the “Tidal River Prayer & Support Group” on Facebook, or email trtheos@gmail.com to go on our mailing list.

Open Tents

Monday - Friday we hold an Open Tent at night, which is a great opportunity to get to know campers better and have meaningful conversations. We like to keep our Open Tent a very relaxed event, with lots of couches, free hot drinks and good tunes to help people feel comfortable.

Free Cooked Breakfasts

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we cook a free breakfast of eggs, bacon and pancakes for campers. This event is always a popular one and often evokes questions such as “why are you giving us free food?” and “are you really not getting paid for this?” which is a great opportunity for us to share why we love serving others!

Afternoon hang outs

Inbetween cooked breakfasts and open tents, we host a variety of relaxed afternoon events - anything from beach games, to hikes, to coffee on our campsite lawn. These hang outs are a great way to meet new people and invite them to our Open Tent.
